Combining the love of shopping, philanthropy, and books! I have teamed up with Penworthy (a children's book binding company: Penworthy) to support our friend in her quest to train for and walk the Breast Cancer 3-Day. It is a 3-day walking event that covers 60 miles. Her personal goal is to raise $2,200 for the Susan G. Komen For the Cure foundation. Not only do I love helping out a friend, supporting a very noble cause, and feeling pretty darn good at the end of the day (without walking 60 miles!), but the back of the hat has a pink ribbon with 'BOOK LOVERS FOR THE CURE' emblazoned below it. And we all know how I feel about any and every support of book lovers I can find! So, I invite you to read up on Julie and her team 'Giving the Girls Another Birthday' here: Julie (she's in the pink shirt!)
